Following the signing of an agreement for VINCI Airports to acquire a 50.01% stake in the company that owns it, Edinburgh Airport joined the VINCI Airports network in June 2024.

In 2025, the airport has welcomed a record 16 million passengers in a single year, a milestone achieved for the first time ever at a Scottish airport.
