Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc Airport
Thanks to its strategic location between lake and mountains, Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc airport offers a privileged gateway to the largest ski resorts in the Alps.
During the 2022-2023 season, almost 169,000 passengers passed through the hub via scheduled routes to the UK, as well as ski charter flights operated by tour operators, and its dedicated business aviation terminal. Thanks to its proximity to winter sports resorts, Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc airport ranks 3rd in France for business aviation traffic in winter.
In 2016, the airport underwent major renovation work on its two terminals to improve passenger comfort. In 2019, infrastructure expansion and compliance work was carried out in anticipation of the restoration of formalities and border controls linked to the Brexit. The final modernization work was carried out in 2023 to redevelop the customs control areas at departures and arrivals, as well as to create a duty-free area for the benefit of passengers, whose shopping experience is enriched.
In line with VINCI Airports’ environmental policy, Chambéry Savoir Mont Blanc airport has installed LED lighting and water savers systems. Chambéry airport also obtained ISO 14001 certification in 2019, which it renewed in 2023. In 2022, the Savoie hub obtained Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA) Level 3 certification. Achieving ACA 3 underlines the efforts made by the hub to decarbonize its activities, as well as the actions taken to involve all its stakeholders.
