Nantes Atlantique Airport

Member of the VINCI Airports network since 2011, Nantes Atlantique Airport, the leading airport in Western France, serves over 90 direct destinations via 20 scheduled airlines, including 4 based carriers, and is connected to the main international hubs.

Ten years after joining the VINCI Airports network, Nantes Atlantique has welcomed twice as many destinations (France, Europe, the Mediterranean basin, as well as Canada, the Middle East, Africa and the Caribbean), and twice as many tourists, benefiting the local economy. The airport is also served by twice as many airlines, promoting regional connectivity and the democratization of air transport, and has gone from one to four companies based there, benefiting local jobs.

According to the latest Utopies study (conducted in 2020 based on 2019 data), the airport’s activities generate over 3,000 direct jobs, support 13,250 jobs in Loire-Atlantique, and contribute €0.9 billion to the regional GDP, including €744 million in Loire-Atlantique.

In 2022, the airport was awarded the S3A label for its efforts to welcome people with physical and mental disabilities. Nantes Atlantique has also obtained ISO 9001 international certification standards for its quality management.

Certified in 2024 as “level 4” of the ACA (Airport Carbon Accreditation) and ISO 14001, Nantes Atlantique airport is developing within its territory by committing to reducing the environmental impact of its activity with the objective in particular to achieve “zero net emissions from its direct activities” by 2030. To reach ACA 4, the airport reduced its CO₂ emissions by nearly 50% between 2019 and 2025. One of the key initiatives was the electrification of the tarmac: co-financed for €15 million, this project includes 12 electrified aircraft stands and 100 electric vehicle charging points, resulting in an annual reduction of 2,400 tonnes of CO₂.

In 2025, the airport is unveiling a fully renovated and diversified commercial offering, with 16 modernized retail outlets and new brands, enhancing the passenger experience. A fast-track service and continuous assistance for passengers with reduced mobility (PRM) further improve passenger comfort and the airport’s overall accessibility.
